I actually tried one of those when I was young and stupid. This was long
before the Internet. I spent money on a mailing list and mailed out about
1000 letters. It was one of those deals where you place your name at the
bottom of the list and send the guy at the top a dollar. I think I made
about two dollars. Now most of the schemes seem to involve Paypal. I have
read that Paypal is aware of it, and anyone that tries it has all the info
turned over to the FBI for prosecution. I guess there's no free ride after
all.
